Form a parental culture. Planned Parenthood
A person’s life and health is one of the highest values of the state and mankind as a whole.
An analysis of specific quantitative and qualitative characteristics over the past decade show that our country is heading for a demographic crisis. Levels of abortions and unwanted pregnancies have significantly increased. Every third child in Ukraine has physical or mental problems. The state is attempting to resolve problems concerning the birth rate numbers but does not address problems associated with quality indicators. Modern society demonstrates an abundance of cruelty, violence, brutality and lack of spirituality. The number of children with high levels of aggression and problems, single parent families continues to grow. Worldwide statistics show that out of 100 percent marriages 50 percent end in divorce.
We consider that the main reasons that modern day youth is not prepared for marriage and parental duties are as follows:
It is necessary to form a parental culture associated with family life within society and their inter-relation with each other; from which the early stages of motherly and fatherly bonds are formed; natural family planning, psychological readiness to parenthood and breast feeding.
Currently a huge amount of research is devoted to the psychological aspects of motherhood, relationship between cause and effect of pregnancy, individual characteristics of women, the character and quality of realisation of motherhood. According to our data this research is not made readily available to medical or social services. Therefore work carried out in educating the general population and experts’ regarding a pregnant woman and a mother with child is crucial.
We plan to disseminate knowledge about family planning, parenthood and the preparation for family life.
